New Training Services Address Unique Cultural Challenges in India’s Growing Market for Japanese Businesses

TOKYO, Japan – August 6th, 2025 – INDIGITAL inc, through its Indian subsidiary INDIGILAB PRIVATE LIMITED, and UK-headquartered Global Business Culture (GBC), through its Indian entity GBC Training India Pvt Ltd, today announced a strategic partnership to launch specialized cross-cultural training services for Japanese companies expanding into the Indian market. This collaboration aims to help Japanese businesses overcome challenges arising from distinct cultural values, fostering mutual understanding and ensuring smoother management between Japanese and Indian teams.

The newly introduced services provide tailored training for both Japanese expatriates and Indian employees, designed to promote effective collaboration and operational success in India. India continues to be a highly promising market for Japanese enterprises, with a notable acceleration in the establishment of local entities, offshore development, and Global Capability Centers (GCCs). However, differences in cultural values, social structures, and decision-making speeds frequently lead to misunderstandings and friction in day-to-day operations. This partnership directly addresses these critical issues, offering targeted support to bridge the cultural gap.

The training programs offered include:

  1. Working Effectively with Japanese Colleagues (Delivered in English – for Indian employees working with Japanese managers or clients)
    This programme helps Indian professionals understand Japanese business culture, communication styles, decision-making processes, and relationship-building norms. The training reduces friction, improves productivity, and helps teams collaborate with greater mutual respect.
  2. Working Effectively with Indian Colleagues (Delivered in Japanese – for Japanese expatriates working in India)
    This programme supports Japanese managers and employees who need to understand Indian working styles, values, hierarchy, and communication preferences. It builds trust, fosters collaboration, and helps prevent costly misunderstandings.

All sessions are delivered by highly experienced trainers with deep knowledge of both Japanese and Indian business environments.

An initial free in-person trial session is scheduled for September 23, 2025 in Bangalore, offering participants the opportunity to experience the training content firsthand and learn initial steps for resolving challenges caused by cultural value differences. Future expansions to other major Indian cities, including Delhi and Chennai, are also planned.
